Fully Awake

Somewhere between night and the first light of day I found myself wondering loudly in my mind what the next few hours would hold. With slumber dropping off slowly, I found myself en route to Mexico City. My ride to JFK arrived ten minutes early, providing a small cushion of time for the now all too familiar trek to New York City. A frequent route for me - stops, stores, turns, and redirects came easily as we began to meld our lives together to form a team. There are always those moments of doubt as I ready for these adventures. In times past I would doubt my ability to ngotiate the language, or culture, or sickness, or lack of funds, or unexpected hardship, or whatever. More recently my life has shown and proven these challenges are overcome in time and with some effort. My attention now is turned to matters of life and spirit. So, we go. Our arrival in Mexico City was familiar in many ways to any international destination. The experience in immigration and customs was pleasant, as were the people we met to ask directions and help in finding the Metro. After changing money, off we went into an excellent underground rail system that delivered us to our hostel with only one change of trains. Finding the hostel proved a challenge, but helpful people again directed us to the front door. Our room is awesome with a shower and full bathroom inside the actual room! Luxury for sure. Time to find something to eat and prepare for a full day in the city tomorrow. Shower and a toilet and a bed. We have it made! I am fully awake and alive now.

Andy,

So glad to hear that you have a bathroom/shower in your hostel room. What luxury! Hopefully the team is forming and order is in place within the team. We are praying to that end.
