Rabat and Rest

Today we walked the capital city of Morocco, Rabat.  It is a very modern city, with wide streets and many restaurants and hotels.  The medina is relatively small compared to others we have visited, but does have a very scenic kasbah over looking the ocean.  There are also the ruins of the Roman city of Sale, as well as other remains of the more than 2000 year history it enjoys.  There are also beautiful gardens in the kasbah, as well as a museum and other tourist type things.  We met a young man named Ali today.  He was interested in our stories and experiences.  It was a very productive conversation in many ways.  We did not meet our friend from the train Youseff, but were happy to make a new friend instead.  Tonight we are packing and preparing for our trip to Algiers early tomorrow morning.  We expect a much different atmosphere and more challenging living conditions there.  We will see soon I guess...
