In Africa and Doing Well
We arrived in Casablanca just a couple of hours ago; and are in the process of learning the city a bit in order to get around in an efficient manner. Travel was very smooth and easy as we negotiated airports and had wonderful flights along the way. Sleep came naturally after a long day back in the States, and we should be settled in the new time zone quickly. The train ride into Casablanca from the airport revealed a country of economic contrasts typical of this part of the world. As we watched the farms and small villages pass by sceens of everyday activities appeared through a window inscribed with arabic grafitti. It was an interesting contrast of watching women walking to a mosque in their coverings with the imprints of youthful rebellion and expression stamped on every view. The city is a large active center of commerce and culture. Hundreds of taxis transport people across the city in constant motion with sounds of traffic everywhere. There does not seem to be the chaos here as we have experienced in Dakar or Accra. We will see how that goes as we travel to smaller and less devloped areas. Our lodging is in the old part of the city, and seems very clean and safe. We look forward to our travel in Morocco over the next few days. Thanks for your concern and prayers.

I am happy to hear things are going smoothly.
I enjoyed your description of the places you've seen so far.
We're getting lots of rain, and Stacy's sump pump is doing its job.
Stay strong. We got your back.
